When to choose Custom Development over a one-off implementation
A one-off implementation resolves most of the cases we see: a contained integration, a clear scope, a few weeks of work. But some projects do not fit that format. If your case needs continuous development over months, several simultaneous integrations with legacy systems, or new functionality built on a product already in production, we take on the full build as a partner rather than splitting the work into successive implementations.
It also applies when a roadmap needs to be sustained over months: evolving a product already in production, executing a large migration, or building new functionality start to finish. In these cases we take responsibility for the whole outcome instead of a one-off service: there's continuity of context, accumulated product knowledge and commitment to the entire roadmap, not to loose hours.
What we keep from our implementations: agile process, frequent deliveries and per-phase proposals with fixed scope. The difference is the commitment duration (typically 2+ months) and the depth of the work. The per-phase scope is still fixed so you know exactly what you're committing to.
When it doesn't apply: if your case is a one-off automation of a few weeks, a custom implementation is simpler and sufficient. If you need a small CRM integration or an isolated dashboard, you don't need this format. Simple rule: if the scope closes in a few weeks, it's a one-off implementation; if it requires development sustained over time, it's Custom Development.
